JEE Advanced 2025 was conducted by IIT Kanpur and witnessed participation from 1,80,422 candidates who appeared for both Paper 1 and Paper 2. Out of them, 54,378 candidates qualified the examination, including 9,404 female candidates.
Rajit Gupta from the IIT Delhi zone secured All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the Common Rank List (CRL), scoring 332 out of 360 marks. Devdutta Majhi from the IIT Kharagpur zone emerged as the top-ranked female candidate, securing CRL 16 with 312 marks.
The 2025 admission season once again highlighted the intense competition for seats at the country's premier engineering institutes. Computer Science Engineering remained among the most sought-after programmes at leading IITs, with top-ranked candidates competing for limited seats through the JoSAA counselling process.
JOSAA COUNSELLING 2026 TO BEGIN NEXT
With the declaration of results, the admission process now moves to the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling stage.
JoSAA 2026 counselling will be conducted in multiple rounds, during which qualified candidates will be required to register online, fill in their preferred institutes and programmes, and participate in seat allocation rounds.

JEE Advanced scores are accepted by all IITs across the country, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT (BHU) Varanasi and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
Admissions to these institutes will be granted on the basis of candidates' ranks, category-wise cut-offs and seat availability during the JoSAA counselling process.
