NBEMS announces NEET PG 2026 re-exam after power outage at Jaipur centre

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a notice stating that the NEET PG 2026 examination could not be completed at the iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura centres (TC Nos. 41682 and 41683) in Jaipur, Rajasthan, due to an internal power failure at the centres, attributed to M/s TCS Ltd.

The examination was scheduled to be held from 9 am to 12 pm on Sunday. However, the power failure disrupted the computer-based examination, leaving some candidates unable to complete the test.

RE-EXAMINATION ON SEPTEMBER 5

NBEMS has announced that all candidates who could not complete the examination due to the disruption will have to appear for a re-examination.

The re-examination will be conducted on September 5, 2026, at 3 pm in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The examination body expressed regret for the inconvenience caused to the affected candidates. It said that further details regarding the re-examination venue would be shared separately.

NBEMS will also issue revised admit cards to the candidates who are required to appear for the re-examination.

WHAT HAPPENED AT THE SITAPURA CENTRE?

The NEET PG 2026 examination at the Sitapura centres was disrupted after an internal power failure affected the conduct of the computer-based test.

Candidates who had reached the centre on time were left concerned after the examination could not be completed as scheduled. Several candidates sought information from officials at the centre regarding the disruption and the next steps.

The incident caused anxiety among candidates who had prepared for the postgraduate medical entrance examination over a long period. With the examination now rescheduled for the affected candidates, they will have to appear for the re-examination on September 5.

NBEMS has said that the venue details and revised admit cards for the affected candidates will be communicated separately.
