Premanand Maharaj disciple dies after falling from UP ashram, suicide suspected

A disciple of spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj died after allegedly jumping from the fourth floor of the Guru Kripa Kunj ashram in Mathura on Saturday morning. Police suspect suicide but are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and have not ruled out any possibility.
The deceased, identified as Rasik Dulari Sharan, was critically injured after sustaining severe injuries to his head and body. He was taken to a hospital by people associated with the ashram, where he died during treatment.
The incident took place at the Guru Kripa Kunj ashram in the Kotwali Vrindavan area around 10.30 am. Police were informed later after the injured man was taken to hospital.
POLICE INVESTIGATING DEATH
Police said the incident appeared to be a case of suicide at first glance, but an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding his death. A forensic team has also collected evidence from the spot.
According to police, the deceased's actual name was Deepak Lodhi, a resident of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. He was reportedly known as Rasik Dulari Sharan.
Police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and informed the family about the death. The body has been kept at the post-mortem house.
The deceased's family members are expected to reach Mathura from Madhya Pradesh on Sunday morning, after which the post-mortem examination will be conducted.
Police are investigating all aspects of the case to determine whether the death was a suicide or if there were any other circumstances surrounding it.
