Leaders from the ruling party criticised the nature of the programme, stating that a serious discussion was turned into mockery and alleging that the event lacked meaningful discourse. A political row has erupted in Tamil Nadu over the proposed construction of a new secretariat at Pattinapakkam. Communist Party of India (Marxist) State Secretary P. Scrutiny reached political figures after enumeration entries were flagged under the unmapped category from the previous revision exercise. Several family members were issued notices amid allegations regarding missing names and deletions from the draft electoral roll. Meanwhile, voter records flagged for logical discrepancies during the procedure were checked and validated following physical verification conducted by booth-level officers. The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) registered a major victory in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections, securing three out of the four central panel posts.
