Chumbak 2: Colony chaos, quirky neighbours return in October. Check release date

Netflix has announced the release date for Chumbak Part 2, with the beloved neighbourhood comedy set to return on October 1. The second part will bring back the familiar residents of Chumbak Colony for another round of chaos, laughter, mix-ups and complicated friendships.

Written and directed by Aatish Kapadia and produced by Hats Off Productions alongside Jamnadas (JD) Majethia, Chumbak Part 2 will feature eight fresh episodes. The series returns to the vibrant colony where everyone knows everyone’s business — and one person’s problem has a way of becoming the entire neighbourhood’s problem.

The first part took viewers into the heart of the colony, where interconnected families navigated everyday troubles, misunderstandings and plenty of chaos. Part 2 promises to raise the stakes as fresh mix-ups put friendships to the test and once again bring the residents together.

Neena Gupta and Deven Bhojani will reprise their roles as Rajni and Kuku, who take it upon themselves to bring everyone back together amid the growing chaos. Their efforts add a wholesome layer to the comedy as the neighbourhood finds itself tangled in yet another series of complications.

The ensemble cast also includes Arjun Bijlani, Helly Shah, Manasi Parekh, Sumeet Vyas, Sandeepa Dhar, Sumeet Raghavan, Anant V Joshi, Amyra Dastur, Delnaaz Irani and Atul Kumar. Together, the residents continue to poke their noses into one another’s lives, setting the stage for more twists, laughter and moments of togetherness.

With eight new episodes on the way, Chumbak Part 2 promises to bring back the warmth, nostalgia and madness that made the colony memorable in the first place.

So, get the family, friends and perhaps even the neighbours ready; Chumbak Part 2 premieres on Netflix on October 1.
