Prajakta-Rohit kick off Mismatched 4 shooting: All about the final chapter
Netflix started filming Mismatched season 4 with actors Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf on Tuesday. The final season will pick up after Dimple and Rishi paused their engagement to focus on their careers.

The fourth season of Netflix’s Mismatched has gone on floors, with actors Prajakta Koli and Rohit Saraf starting work on the new instalment of the romantic drama. Netflix announced the update on Tuesday with a short video clip and shared it on Instagram with the caption, “DimpShi fans, I have something four you,” referring to the pairing of Dimple and Rishi.
The upcoming season will also be the show’s final chapter. With familiar cast members returning, Season 4 will take the story forward after the events of the third season, which ended with Dimple Ahuja and Rishi Singh Shekhawat putting their engagement on hold so that they could focus on their careers.
Adapted from Sandhya Menon’s 2017 novel When Dimple Met Rishi, Mismatched premiered on November 20, 2020. The series was renewed for a second season on March 3, 2021, and that season later premiered on Netflix on October 14, 2022. Helmed by Akarsh Khurana and Nipun Dharmadhikar, the coming-of-age romantic drama follows Rishi Singh Shekhawat, who falls in love with tech wizard Dimple Ahuja.
Backed by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies and produced by RSVP Movies, the fourth season will also feature Ranvijay Singh, Vidya Malvade, Vihaan Samat, Devyani Shorey, Priya Banerjee, Taaruk Raina, Muskkaan Jaferi, Akarsh Khurana and Ahsaas Channa in important roles. The makers said the new season will bring back familiar faces, new memories and several surprises for viewers.
Prajakta Koli said, “Coming back to the Mismatched set for one final season feels incredibly emotional. Dimple has been such a huge part of my journey, and getting to tell the last chapter of her story on Netflix is something I’ll always be grateful for. I can’t wait for our paglus (crazy fans) on Netflix to experience what we’ve been cooking.”
Rohit Saraf added, “Mismatched has given me some of my favourite memories, and returning for this final season on Netflix feels really special. Being back with this team, slipping into Rishi’s world again, and creating new memories together already feels magical.”
The story has seen several turns across its previous seasons. The first season ended with Dimple blaming her boyfriend Rishi for leaking information about the mobile app she was working on. As they broke up, Dimple impulsively kissed her project partner Harsh, played by Vihaan Samat.
In Season 2, Dimple felt guilty about the kiss and wanted to clear things up with Rishi. When they met, Rishi spilled coffee on Dimple, echoing their first meeting in Season 1. The two then sought comfort in other people before realising that they were in love with each other. Season 3 closed with Dimple and Rishi deciding to put their engagement on hold as they pursued their individual careers.
