Samay Raina's India's Got Latent 2 scripted? Suhani Shah's magic act sparks claims
Social media claims have sparked discussion around mentalist Suhani Shah's magic act on Samay Raina's India's Got Latent Season 2. A Reddit user alleged the act was scripted and claimed that her friend received Rs 20,000 for not revealing details of the show.

Social media posts about Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent Season 2 have sparked fresh discussion around a magic act by mentalist Suhani Shah. A Reddit user has alleged that the segment was scripted and that a man received Rs 20,000 to hide what was allegedly seen during the show. The allegation then moved to X, where users described the episode as one in which Raina was ‘scammed’.
The claims relate to Shah’s appearance in Bonus Episode 4 of India’s Got Latent Season 2, which was released on September 27, 2026, as a members-only bonus episode on Samay Raina’s YouTube channel. Shah appeared on the panel with actor Ayushmann Khurrana and comedians Aaditya Kulshreshtha, also known as Kullu, and Rajat Sood.
In the Reddit post, a user named Vaishali said she was the audience member who stood up in the middle of the show because of an urgent call and had to go in and out several times. She claimed that when Shah was performing the act, she returned while still on the call and saw a man standing behind the curtains with ‘Anubhav’ written on his shirt. She said she did not understand what she had seen at the time because she had come in late, but after watching the episode, she felt the act was scripted. Vaishali further alleged that after she told her friends about it, one of them messaged Samay’s team and received Rs 20,000 for not disclosing it.
An X user referred to the same episode and wrote that Samay had been ‘scammed’, since the story still got out.

Who is Suhani Shah?
Suhani Shah is an Indian mentalist, magician and YouTuber who has been performing since childhood. She began as an illusionist and later moved to mentalism, driven by her interest in human behaviour, psychology and how people perceive reality. Over more than two decades, she has performed in over 5,000 shows and built a large digital following through videos based on mind-reading and psychological illusion acts. In 2025, Shah won the Best Magic Creator award at the International Federation of Magic Societies World Championship in Italy.
What else happened in the episode?
The same bonus episode also drew attention for an exchange involving Ayushmann Khurrana, Kullu and Adnan Sami. During the show, Ayushmann was asked about Udta Teer. He joked that he had not come to promote the film, even though he was wearing a T-shirt carrying its title. He described Udta Teer as India’s first ‘pat-com’, or patriotic comedy, and said his character is a Pakistani spy who enters India on a mission, loses his memory and eventually starts considering India his home instead of Pakistan.
Kullu immediately responded with ‘Adnan Sami’, jokingly referring to the history of Sami’s own journey from Pakistan to India. Sami was granted Indian citizenship on January 1, 2016. In a recent interview with Screen, he said he was born on August 15, India’s Independence Day, rather than August 14, Pakistan’s Independence Day.
Adnan later reacted to a viral reel from the episode and wrote, "Pehle mujhse rights lo aur phir film banao (Get the rights from me first, and then make the film) (sic)."
There were other jokes between Samay and Ayushmann in the episode as well. While welcoming the actor, Samay called him a ‘downgrade’ after Alia Bhatt’s appearance on the Season 2 premiere. Alia had appeared with her Alpha co-star Sharvari to promote their spy thriller, although she too had joked that she was not there to promote the film despite wearing an Alpha cap.
Ayushmann played along and said even India’s Got Latent was a downgrade from India’s Got Talent, the Sony Entertainment Television reality show he co-hosted with Nikhil Chinapa in 2009.
Samay also joked about Ayushmann’s recent film Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, saying that the ‘woh do’ in the title referred to the only two other audience members who had watched the film and wanted a refund.
