Fatima Sana Shaikh praises Salman Khan for shutting down trolls on Bigg Boss 20

Actor Fatima Sana Shaikh featured in a promo for the upcoming Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, where she promoted her web series, Hunkkaar: The Roar. The video showed the actor commending host Salman Khan for directly addressing online trolls during the show's previous episode.

In the clip, Fatima spoke to Salman about the impact of public figures taking a stand against cyberbullying. "Jiss tarike se aapne trolls ko iss baar muh tod jawab diya hai, it’s a huge thing. Kyunki, aapke position mein koi aisi baat karta hai, koi muddon pe khada hota hai, woh bahut hi bada impact deta hai logon pe (The way you shut down trolls, it’s a huge thing. Because when someone in your position speaks up, takes a stand on these issues, it leaves a lasting impact on people)," she said.

Fatima's comments referred to the preceding weekend's broadcast, where Salman addressed online toxicity while moderating a dispute between contestants. During the episode, the host spoke out against age-shaming and body-shaming targeted at public figures, including commentary directed at women experiencing postpartum body changes. He also criticised intrusive paparazzi practices and the unauthorised circulation of private videos involving female celebrities.

The upcoming episode of Bigg Boss 20 will also feature Salman addressing conduct within the house. In another segment, the host reprimanded contestant Rhiti Tiwari, daughter of actor-politician Manoj Tiwari, over her use of inappropriate language directed at co-contestants Uditi Singh and Qazi Touqeer. The altercation took place during a rap diss battle task, where Rhiti made derogatory remarks against Qazi and Uditi.

Reminding her of her family background, Salman mentioned that her choice of words was negatively impacting her father's public standing and advised her to maintain restraint on the show.
