Gaurav Khanna makes first post after wife Akanksha Chamola announces divorce

Actor Gaurav Khanna shared his first social media post after his wife, actor Akanksha Chamola announced on Lock Upp Season 2 that the couple are getting a divorce. He also appeared in Mumbai on the same day, where he waved at paparazzi and made heart signs at them.

In a set of pictures shared from his vanity van, Gaurav used the hashtag #lovealways. The Anupamaa actor is currently participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 and has not responded publicly to the divorce announcement made by Akanksha.

Akanksha revealed the development in the first episode of Lock Upp Season 2 when she was asked to share a secret. Her statement left the audience, along with hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, stunned.

Sharing the update, Akanksha said, "Me and Gaurav are getting a divorce. We have been living separately for the last one year, and it's not been public." She also said there was no bitterness between them despite the decision to part ways.

"Things are not bad between me and Gaurav. We still talk to each other. We don't think we are compatible as partners because we both see a very different future. And, unfortunately, it's not with each other," she added.

In the third episode of the show, Akanksha spoke about the personal reasons behind the decision. Reiterating Gaurav's claims on Bigg Boss 19 last year, she said she does not want to have children, which Gaurav wants "badly".

Akanksha and Gaurav got married on November 24, 2016, in a three-day wedding celebration in Gaurav's hometown, Kanpur. Over the years, they publicly supported each other and were often seen cheering each other on during important milestones in their careers. Gaurav's latest post and appearance in Mumbai came after Akanksha's announcement that they have been living separately for the past year and are now heading for a divorce.
