Odisha woman kills husband over dispute, disposes body with boyfriend's help
A woman in Odisha's Jharsuguda district allegedly killed her husband during a quarrel at home and later dumped his body in a nearby field with her boyfriend's help. The case surfaced after residents found the body, leading to the couple's arrest.
In a shocking crime, a woman in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district killed her husband following a long-standing dispute and later attempted to dispose of his body with the help of her boyfriend, police said. The accused duo has been arrested in connection with the murder.
According to the police, the victim, Shaktidhar Sahu, had been away from home in the wake of the dispute with his wife Gita Mirdha. He would occasionally return to meet his daughters.
During this period, Gita developed a relationship with Tikinu Kisan
On Tuesday, Shaktidhar and Gita had a heated argument in the house while Tikinu was also present. Police said Tikinu tried to intervene, but it turned into a physical altercation.
As the altercation turned violent, Shaktidhar reportedly fell to the ground, following which Gita attacked him with a stick. Police said Shaktidhar died at the spot.
Gita and Tikinu then took the body and dumped it in a nearby field.
The incident came to light only after local residents spotted the body and informed the police.
