Old video shows Siya leaning on Chetan as they watch cricket match together

The investigation into the murder of 25-year-old Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal has uncovered another link between the two accused, Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary, with police finding that the duo were seen together watching an Market Yard Friends Cricket League match before the crime.

MFCL is a premier, community-driven cricket tournament held in Pune. The league features franchise-based teams representing local merchants, businesses, and communities.

Earlier, investigators had also established that the two first came into contact through Siya's elder brother, Sahil Goyal, who played cricket alongside Chetan.

According to police sources, Chetan, a cricket player, had played matches with Sahil, while Siya often accompanied her brother during the games. Investigators believe Siya and Chetan first became acquainted during these matches before reconnecting later. Police are examining this connection as part of the ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile, the police on Saturday summoned the parents and brother of Siya Goyal, a co-accused in the murder case, for questioning at the Lonavala Rural Police Station.

Siya's parents, Pravin Goyal and Puja Goyal, along with her brother Sahil, arrived at the police station in the morning. Earlier on Friday, Sahil was questioned by the police for more than 10 hours before he was allowed to leave in the evening.

"Today, Siya's parents and brother were summoned for questioning, and their statements will be recorded," a senior police officer said.

Siya's father was briefly admitted to a hospital after her arrest in the case earlier this week.

Siya Goyal (20) and her lover, Chetan Chaudhary (22), are accused of pushing Ketan Agarwal off a cliff at Lohagad Fort in Maval taluka of Pune district on June 18. According to the police, Siya and Ketan were set to marry in November, but she did not want to go ahead with the wedding, prompting her and Chetan to allegedly hatch a conspiracy to eliminate him.

On Friday, Ketan's father, Vishal Agarwal, met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who accepted the family's demand to try the case in a fast-track court and appointed Ujjwal Nikam as the special public prosecutor.

The investigation has also revealed that Siya and Chetan systematically deleted their entire phone chat history and cleared their recycle bins before and after the crime. Police have sent their devices to a forensic laboratory to retrieve the deleted data.

According to the police, the duo met at a cafe on the day of the crime to finalise the murder plot and identified the exact spot at Lohagad Fort where Agarwal would allegedly be pushed. Police further alleged that Chetan had provoked Siya to eliminate her fianc.

Meanwhile, residents have organised a candlelight vigil at Belmondo Housing Society in Gahunje, where the deceased lived.
