Union Minister of State for Railways, Ravneet Singh Bittu has resigned from the Union Council of Ministers, with President Droupadi Murmu accepting his resignation with immediate effect, according to a press communique issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan on Friday.
The President accepted the resignation of Ravneet Singh, who served as the Union Minister of State for Railways, on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has accepted the resignation of Shri Ravneet Singh from the Union Council of Ministers, with immediate effect, under clause (2) of Article 75 of the Constitution of India," the Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said.
