Delhi BRICS Summit: Hotel Room Crunch as Tariff Soars Over ₹2 Lakh
As Delhi prepares to host the BRICS Summit on 12th and 13th September, the national capital is witnessing an acute shortage of luxury hotel rooms, driving room rates to record highs. Luxury properties in central Delhi, such as the Taj Mahal Hotel, are fully booked with no rooms available for the summit dates. Meanwhile, rooms at ITC Maurya and via third-party booking platforms have surged beyond two lakh rupees per night, reaching up to 2.5 lakh rupees compared to regular rates of around nineteen thousand rupees. The high demand from arriving foreign delegates, dignitaries, and officials has set new pricing records in Delhi's hotel market history.
