Muslim clerics and former Babri Masjid case litigant Iqbal Ansari have hailed RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's remarks delivered at a faith leaders' conference in New York. Addressing the event, Mohan Bhagwat stressed unity and inclusivity, stating that excluding Muslims is not the act of a Hindu and highlighting coexistence as part of Bharat's civilizational tradition. Responding to the address, Iqbal Ansari described Hindustan as a land of brotherhood and supported Bhagwat's vision of leadership that fosters development and harmony. Shia cleric Yasub Abbas praised the statement, calling Hindus and Muslims two eyes of the nation. Additionally, Muslim Personal Law Board member Maulana Khalid Rashid Firangi Mahali noted that the speech sent a positive message but emphasized the necessity of implementing it on the ground.

In a shocking incident during the NEET PG examination in Telangana's Rangareddy district, an aspirant was caught entering the examination hall under the influence of alcohol at a center in Ibrahimpatnam. The examination staff noticed the candidate's unusual behavior after he had already passed initial gate checks and sat inside the hall. Upon detecting alcohol influence, staff alerted police officials and removed the aspirant from the premises. Police officials, including ACP Raju, confirmed that an investigation is underway using breathalyzers to determine the extent of alcohol consumption and assess how the student managed to bypass initial security checks.

A power snag disrupted the conduct of the NEET PG examination at the Sitapura Center in Jaipur, causing significant delays to the computer-based test. The exam, originally scheduled from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, was delayed continuously by ten to fifteen minutes multiple times. Frustrated by the technical fault and the lack of a satisfactory response from the National Testing Agency, candidates staged protests outside the examination facility. Following the disruption, officials postponed the test at the centre and rescheduled it for September 5. Aspirants expressed anger over having to bear the brunt of the technical failure and reappear for the examination on the new date.

Tamil Nadu police have arrested the prime accused in Manipur's Jiribam district in connection with the murder of a woman whose body parts were found inside a red suitcase on the Tamil Nadu Express. The case came to light after passengers at Agra Cantonment railway station reported a foul smell from an abandoned suitcase. Using CCTV footage, investigators tracked the suspect back to a rented house in Chennai, where additional dismembered body parts were recovered from a vessel used for cooking biryani. Police are investigating the motive behind the crime, while a search remains underway to trace the suspect's wife, who is also suspected of involvement in the murder.
