The food safety department in Karnataka has ordered the closure of the kitchen at Chairman's Club in Bengaluru following a special inspection. Officials uncovered severe hygiene violations, including 40 kilograms of expired chilli stored for food preparation, improperly labelled food items, and unauthorised artificial colours. The inspection also revealed soiled food spilled across the floor and improper storage of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items together. Following directions from Health and Family Welfare Minister UT Khader after receiving member complaints, expired food products were seized and the restaurant area inside the club was shut down. Legal action has been initiated under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006 as authorities continue strict inspection drives across food establishments in Bengaluru.

The Tamil Nadu government has announced plans to build a dedicated motorsport city in Chennai to boost motorsport and sports tourism. The project features an international standard racetrack designed to host events ranging from Formula 1 to Formula 4, alongside modern infrastructure and driver training facilities. Racer and actor Ajith Kumar commended the initiative, noting that state recognition, corporate backing, and simplified customs regulations are essential for hosting international racing series in India.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal has strongly criticised opponents and critics raising questions over India's 7.8 percent GDP growth figures. Goyal stated that only God can help mindless people who cannot understand anything, adding that it is not in the government's hands to explain it to them. The Karnataka Administrative Tribunal has stayed the suspension orders issued against two government school teachers from Hunasagi Taluk in Yadgir District who participated in an RSS march. Following their participation in the march organised last year, the Yadgir DDPI of the School Education Department had ordered their suspension under state government rules restricting officials from associating with political or ideological wings. Challenging the action, the teachers approached the tribunal bench in Kalaburagi. The tribunal passed an interim stay on the government suspension order, allowing them to return to work.
