A man identified as Salim from Karnataka's Kodagu district was found dead inside a luxury car in the Koramangala area of Bengaluru. Local residents alerted the authorities after noticing an unresponsive person inside the vehicle. Police rushed to the spot, confirmed his death, and sent the body to a hospital for post-mortem examination. The deceased's family members are travelling from Kodagu to Bengaluru to meet police officials as an investigation into the exact cause of death is currently underway.

A 48-year-old real estate agent died following a midnight scuffle over a construction dispute at a building in Kalkaji, South Delhi. The dispute escalated during a meeting between the property dealer and upper-floor residents over ground-floor construction. The victim fell unconscious after being pushed during the altercation and was declared brought dead at the AIIMS trauma centre. The victim's brother was also injured in the incident. Family members allege the realtor was beaten to death by residents of the same building. Delhi Police have registered a First Information Report, recorded eyewitness statements, and formed teams to apprehend the accused.

Newly elected Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) president Yash Dabas from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) addressed the student body after the ABVP secured three of four central panel posts. Emphasising student backing, Dabas asserted that "Gen Z are with ABVP Gen Z are with nation" and credited year-round ground work by ABVP workers across university colleges for his 2,100-vote presidential victory over the National Students' Union of India (NSUI). Outlining his primary executive priorities, Dabas announced that the union's first task will be conducting safety audits of every paying guest (PG) accommodation, hostel, and college premises following a recent incident in Satya Niketan. He stated that the audit reports will be published in the public domain, unsafe accommodations will face closure, and renovation demands will be pursued. Dabas committed to addressing lingering campus issues and maintaining direct accountability to students throughout his tenure.

In an exclusive interaction at the Semiconductor India Summit at Yashobhoomi, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw stated that India has successfully laid the groundwork for its semiconductor industry under the Semicon India initiative. Highlighting the expansion of domestic manufacturing, Vaishnaw stated, "We have 12 units. Out of that, five have started commercial production." He outlined the central government's long-term roadmap to advance from current manufacturing nodes to 7nm and 3nm technologies by 2035, driven by steady policies, talent cultivation, and strong political will. Discussing workforce development, he highlighted that the Chips to Startup programme has expanded across 400 universities nationwide and announced plans to train 1,00,000 technicians over the next three to four years. Vaishnaw also addressed critical supply chain requirements, identifying ultra-pure materials as the most complex challenge, while expressing strong confidence that the Semicon 2.0 phase will draw investments exceeding initial projections and establish 200 deep-tech chip design companies across the country.
