In Maneesh Sharma's surprisingly sweet Band Baaja Baaraat, Anushka Sharma, 23, is Shruti Kakkar from Delhi, who wants to be the world's best wedding planner because marriages are good business whether there is recession or inflation. Opposite her is newbie Ranveer Singh, who is charmingly unaffected as the boy from Saharanpur who wants to escape his sugarcane farmer father. From Kirori Mal College to Sainik Farms, the film showcases a spirited new Bunty Aur Babli generation. Ignore her blindingly white too-wide smile and you see a spunky and sparkly three-film old actor. Q. You have proved to be lucky for Yash Raj Films in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Badmaash Company before. Why do you think?A. I detest that success is attributed to luck. They chose the right scripts and the right talent.Q. How did a Bangalore girl get a Delhi girl so right in Band Baaja Baaraat?A. Getting Shruti right was a huge task. My ears would stand up every time I came across a Delhi girl. I have worked the hardest for this film.Q. What kind of an actor would you like to be known as?A. As an actor who can really act and who makes films that don't disappoint.Q.What's next?A. I am only doing Patiala House now. There are scripts that I am considering but I'm taking it easy.Q.
