Marvel's Avengers Doomsday gets early tickets sales; check trailer, runtime updates
Marvel has revealed Avengers: Doomsday's runtime and launched premium tickets unusually early. The moves underline a major push around the film ahead of Comic-Con and its December 2026 release.

Marvel Studios has unveiled major new details about Avengers: Doomsday months ahead of its theatrical release. The studio has confirmed the film's runtime and is preparing for an unusually early ticket rollout, a move that has already sparked excitement among Marvel fans.
One of the biggest announcements is that tickets for premium-format screenings will go on sale on July 20, 2026, nearly five months before the film hits theatres on December 18. The early ticket launch signals Marvel's confidence in Avengers: Doomsday as one of its biggest cinematic events yet.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming superhero film has a runtime of 165 minutes (2 hours and 45 minutes). That makes it longer than Avengers: Infinity War (149 minutes) but shorter than Avengers: Endgame (181 minutes).
However, the advance ticket sale will not extend to all theatres. According to the report, bookings will initially be limited to Infinity Vision venues, Disney's new premium large-format experience that will be available for select screenings of Avengers: Doomsday.
The move is believed to be a strategic response to increasing competition for premium cinema screens. With Warner Bros. already securing IMAX screens for Dune: Part Three during the same holiday window, Disney appears to be encouraging Marvel fans to lock in premium seats early through its Infinity Vision rollout before rival releases hit theatres.
Marvel is also expected to make a splash at San Diego Comic-Con on July 25, where fans are anticipating the first full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday. While a teaser was screened exclusively at CinemaCon earlier this year, the footage has remained under wraps due to strict security measures. According to the report, Marvel will debut a brand-new trailer at Comic-Con before attaching it to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which releases in theatres on July 31.
Notably, both Avengers: Doomsday and Spider-Man: Brand New Day skipped Super Bowl trailer launches this year, ending a Marvel marketing tradition that had been followed for the past 16 years.
Marvel fans have got their first clear look at Robert Downey Jr's Doctor Doom mask through newly released concept art from Avengers: Doomsday (2026). Shared by former Marvel Studios visual development director Andy Park, the artwork also features fresh looks at Loki and several returning X-Men characters who have not yet appeared in the film's promotional material.
Park shared the concept art on X on July 11, describing Avengers: Doomsday as one of the most significant projects he worked on during his time at Marvel Studios.
The film is set to unite some of the MCU's biggest teams, including the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers (formerly the Thunderbolts), and several heroes from Wakanda, making it one of Marvel's most ambitious crossover films to date. The film is also expected to lay the foundation for Avengers: Secret Wars, which is scheduled for release in 2027.
Avengers: Doomsday is slated to hit theatres worldwide on December 18, 2026.
