Yash's reflexes kick in during unexpected moment with Kiara Advani at Toxic event

During the pre-release event of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups in Chennai, actor Yash’s quick reflexes kicked in when a metal object landed dangerously close to Kiara Advani. The moment soon went viral, with fans praising Yash for his instinctive reaction and protective gesture.

The video shows Kiara seated in the front row alongside Yash when a metal object suddenly came flying from the stage. Reacting instantly, Yash put his hands in front of Kiara to shield her from the object. However, it fell just before Kiara's chair without causing harm.

Soon after the video went viral, several fans reacted and praised Yash for his act. One of the X users wrote, “Yash Saved Kiara Advani from getting injured. ROCKING STAR YASH A true gentleman on and off screen. Kiara Advani was seating next to Yash in Chennai during Toxic promotion event where during a dance performance something metal type came flying towards Kiara and look how Yash tried to save her (sic).”

Another user wrote, “The way Yash tried to protect Kiara Advani when something came towards her—he immediately put his hand forward to make sure she didn’t get hurt (sic).”

A third user chimed in and wrote, “#Yash saved #KiaraAdvani from getting injured at #ToxicTheMovie Pre-Release Event (sic).”

During her speech at the event, Kiara thanked Yash for being so supportive on set. She even shared her experience of sharing screen space with the Kannada star.

Starring Yash in dual roles as an estranged father and son locked in conflict, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups is among the most expensive films ever made. The film is backed by KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, with Yash also serving as one of its co-writers, alongside director Geetu Mohandas.

The film has generated considerable anticipation ahead of its release and features a star-studded ensemble cast, including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.

Toxic has been filmed simultaneously in Kannada and English, with both versions serving as original productions. It will also release in dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam, making it one of the widest multilingual releases mounted by a Kannada film.

The film is slated to release in theatres on August 26.
