During the apprehending attempt, the accused allegedly opened fire at the police force using a pistol. In retaliatory firing by the Noida Police, the accused sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital. Police recovered a pistol along with live cartridges from the spot. The postmortem examination report of the victim remains awaited to confirm the allegations of sexual assault, while officials stated that justice was delivered to the grieving family.
