Redmi Note 17 and Note 17 Pro leak before launch, here is what we know
Redmi could launch the Redmi Note 17 this July, according to rumours. A fresh leak revealed key details about the purported Note 17 and Note 17 Pro online. These speculations took the internet ahead of the launch of Redmi K90 Ultra.
Redmi kicked off this year launching the mid-range Redmi Note 15 series. Now, talk of the Redmi Note 17 series is in the air. A fresh leak suggests the lineup would launch with notable improvements across areas like performance, battery life, durability and display quality. The leaks began surfacing online at a time when the company is gearing up to launch the Redmi K90 Ultra in China on June 30.
What we know so far about Redmi Note 17
On popular Chinese social media, Weibo, tipster Smart Pikachu suggested the Redmi Note 17 could be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset, paired with a massive 9,000mAh battery. The phone is said to be water-resistant, but the tipster didn’t explicitly mention the IP rating, which is kind of standard to measure water and dust resistance. On the display front, the smartphone is expected to have a 1.5K flat OLED panel along with a 50-megapixel primary camera.
On the other hand, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max is tipped to ship with a Dimensity 7500 chipset. To keep the lights on, the device could feature a big 10000mAh battery. This device is also expected to be water-resistant. In terms of display, it could arrive with a 1.5K flat display along with a 200-megapixel main camera.
Earlier tipster Digital Chat Station suggested that the Redmi Note 17 could debut in June. And for the Pro variant, the tipster suggested it could debut in the same month or the next month, August.
Meanwhile, Redmi is preparing to launch its gaming-focused Redmi K90 Ultra. The brand already started teasing the smartphone to build anticipation. Recently, it revealed several key specifications about the device.
The Redmi K90 Ultra is confirmed to pack a large 8,550mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging, 22.5W wired reverse charging and bypass charging. The company claims that the cell would feature a 16 per cent silicon content.
Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, an active cooling fan and a dual-rear camera setup.
On the display front, the Redmi K90 Ultra will ship with a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, up to 3,500 nits peak brightness and Samsung’s M10 luminescent material. Redmi further claims that the K90 Ultra is capable of running more than 40 games at 165fps natively.
