China's AI challenge explained | DJI Osmo Pocket 4 review & Dell AI PCs | Tech Today

Can China challenge America's dominance in Artificial Intelligence? In this week's episode of Tech Today, we break down how Chinese AI companies are building powerful AI models at significantly lower costs, why open-source AI is becoming a major global force, and what it means for the future of the AI race between the US and China.
Big Tech Story: China vs US – The New AI Race
For years, American companies like OpenAI, Google, Anthropic and Meta dominated the AI industry by investing billions into advanced chips, cloud infrastructure and massive AI models. But the landscape is changing rapidly.
Chinese AI companies are now launching powerful open-weight models such as Kimi K3, offering competitive performance at a fraction of the cost. We explain the controversy surrounding AI distillation, why open-source AI is gaining global attention, how China is reducing dependence on American AI providers, and why this technological rivalry is becoming an economic and geopolitical battle rather than just a race for better chatbots.
Review: DJI Osmo Pocket 4
DJI has launched the Osmo Pocket 4, a compact creator-focused camera priced around ₹55,000 in India.
We review its 1-inch sensor, mechanical 3-axis gimbal, ActiveTrack subject tracking, 4K video recording, 10-bit D-Log support, low-light performance, built-in storage, fast file transfers and battery life. We also discuss whether it makes more sense than buying a smartphone gimbal and who should actually consider buying it.
Exclusive: Dell's New AI PCs
We also take a first look at Dell's latest laptops launching in India, including the new XPS 13 and Alienware 15. Plus, we speak exclusively with Chris Cowger, Senior Vice President, Global Consumer & eCommerce at Dell, about the future of AI PCs, changing consumer expectations and what's next for personal computing.
What do you think—will China's open AI strategy reshape the future of Artificial Intelligence? And would you choose the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 over your smartphone for content creation?
