A major political row has erupted over allegations of purification rituals conducted by BJP and RSS members following visits by political leaders to temples and public venues. The controversy highlights incidents involving visits to a temple by Rajasthan leaders, a former Bihar Chief Minister, and an event at Ramlila Ground in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. Allegations state that BJP and RSS members performed purification rituals after these visits, termed as a criminal act. A demand has been made to the Prime Minister to order immediate registration of FIRs under the SC/ST Act against individuals responsible for conducting the purification rituals in Uttarakhand.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has arrived in Tashkent on a four-day visit to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
