Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron, born on December 21, 1977, is a French politician who has been serving as the President of France since 2017. Additionally, he holds the position of one of the two Co-Princes of Andorra in his office. Before assuming the presidency, Macron held the role of Minister of Economics, Industry, and Digital Affairs during President François Hollande's administration from 2014 to 2016. He also served as the Deputy Secretary-General to the President from 2012 to 2014.
Born in Amiens, Macron pursued his education, studying philosophy at Paris Nanterre University. He later obtained a master's degree in public affairs from Sciences Po and graduated from the École nationale d'administration in 2004. His career began as a senior civil servant at the Inspectorate General of Finances, after which he transitioned into the role of an investment banker at Rothschild & Co.
