Born on November 28, 1988, Yami Gautam Dhar is an Indian actress who mainly works in Hindi films. Her father Mukesh Gautam is a Punjabi film director and her mother is Anjali Gautam.
Yami Gautam was born in Himachal Pradesh and brought up in Chandigarh. After schooling, she went on to pursue graduate degree in law honours. She left full-time studies for acting.
Yami Gautam did commercials for Glow & Lovely, post which she began acting in television shows like Chand Ke Paar Chalo and Yeh Pyar Na Hoga Kam.
She then moved to South Indian films and finally made it to the Bollywood industry in 2012 with Vicky Donor.
Yami Gautam's greatest success came in 2019 when she appeared in Uri: The Surgical Strike that emerged the third highest grossing Hindi film of that year.
Badlapur (2015), Kaabil (2017), Bala (2019) are some other successful movies of Yami Gautam.
