Former MP's family stuck inside lift in Delhi for nearly an hour, 6 members faint
Former Jharkhand MP Ghuran Ram said his family was trapped in a lift at Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi for nearly an hour. He said six relatives fainted, including his daughter-in-law and son, and no technical staff was available.

A former Member of Parliament’s (MP) family was trapped inside a lift at Jharkhand Bhawan in Delhi for nearly an hour, with six family members losing consciousness during the ordeal. They were later rescued and rushed to a hospital in Vasant Vihar.
The incident took place on September 29, when former Jharkhand MP Ghuran Ram and his family were staying at the Old Jharkhand Bhawan. According to Ram, the lift suddenly got stuck, leaving the family trapped inside.

Speaking about the incident, Ram said there was no technical staff available at the time. His son and daughter-in-law fainted while they were stuck inside, he said, adding that the family members were eventually brought out and taken to Holy Angels Hospital in Vasant Vihar.
Ram said he was upset after seeing the condition of his family members and has requested the CCTV footage of the incident.
Sources at Jharkhand Bhawan said the lift may have got stuck due to overloading. The lift had a capacity of four people, while six members of Ram’s family were inside when it stopped.
They further said that his son and daughter-in-law had fainted due to being trapped inside the lift and that the family was eventually rescued and taken to hospital.
