Video: Monkey enters liquor shop in Ranchi, consumes drink, then dozes off

A female monkey in Jharkhand's Ranchi apparently had a rather unusual pit stop after walking into a liquor shop, helping herself to a bottle and then falling asleep inside the premises.

The bizarre incident was reported from Block Chowk in Ormanjhi, where the monkey suddenly entered a liquor shop and began wandering around inside.

The monkey even drank some liquor from a bottle kept at the shop before settling down for what appeared to be a very deep nap.

The unexpected visitor soon left the shopkeepers with a problem they certainly hadn't anticipated. After information about the monkey spread, a rescue team arrived at the spot and tried to safely bring her out of the liquor shop.

The incident left onlookers amused, with the monkey seemingly treating the liquor shop as an unexpected place to grab a drink and call it a day.
