A woman filming a reel in Mumbai’s heavy rain narrowly escaped an accident after failing to notice a Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) bus approaching from behind.

The video showed her dancing to Sridevi's 1989 song Parbat Se Kali Ghata Takraee on a forested stretch of road in Aarey Milk Colony. As she continued dancing in the downpour, the BEST bus was seen approaching from behind.

The woman appeared unaware of the bus’s arrival until the driver stopped the vehicle just a short distance away. After noticing the halted bus, she briefly turned around but continued dancing on the road.

The video was shared on X by a user named Ruby, who warned against filming reels on roads: “One should never make reels in the middle of the road. A small act of carelessness can sometimes cause great harm.”

The footage triggered strong reactions online, with many users raising concerns over road safety and the risks associated with filming social media content in hazardous locations.

Several users criticised the woman’s actions, saying she appeared so engrossed in filming the reel that she failed to notice the bus approaching from behind, potentially putting herself at risk of an accident.

Many also expressed concern that the pursuit of social media content could lead to dangerous situations, with some pointing out that she continued dancing even after the bus had stopped.
