Surat airport staffer suddenly collapses, CISF personnel revive him with CPR

A staff member at Surat International Airport suddenly collapsed near a gate, but before the situation could escalate, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel standing nearby sprang into action. They rushed to his aid and administered Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) until he regained consciousness.

The incident was captured on camera and the video was later shared by the CISF on X. The footage shows the man sitting on a chair before suddenly losing consciousness and collapsing.

CISF personnel standing nearby immediately noticed what had happened and rushed towards him. They pulled him to the floor and began administering CPR, attempting to revive him.

After the intervention, the man regained consciousness and was able to sit up.

“At Surat International Airport, a staff member suddenly became unconscious near the Staff Gate. Alert CISF personnel immediately responded to the situation, providing prompt first aid and necessary assistance while ensuring timely medical attention,” the force said in the caption.

The incident highlighted how a situation that unfolded within seconds at a busy airport required an equally quick response. The CISF personnel present near the Staff Gate were able to recognise that the staff member needed immediate assistance and stepped in before medical help could take over.

The video also shows the importance of having trained personnel on hand at public spaces such as airports, where emergencies can unfold without warning.
