An Indian national has died in Israel, the Indian Embassy in Tel Aviv said on Wednesday, adding that Israeli authorities have arrested a suspect and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The victim has been identified as Rajiv Acharya, the embassy said on X. It is not immediately clear whether Acharya's death is linked to the wider conflict in the Middle East, including the ongoing Iran war or the Gaza war.
The embassy said it was in close contact with Israeli authorities, who are probing the case to establish the full facts and circumstances of the death.

It expressed condolences to Acharya's family and said it would provide all possible assistance while continuing to monitor the case.
