Students at Lady Shri Ram College in Delhi held a protest march to reclaim their right to walk safely to and from their accommodations. The lane leading to the college back gate remains completely desolate in the evening and lacks CCTV cameras, despite being frequently used by students living in nearby paying guest facilities. Students reported routine incidents of sexual harassment in the area. The location is also where an encounter involving an accused in a gang rape incident occurred. The protest highlights ongoing concerns regarding women's safety and infrastructure in the national capital.

Students and alumni of Delhi's Lady Shri Ram College, alongside local mothers and professionals, gathered to protest against sexual violence and safety lapses around the campus. Protesters highlighted recent rape incidents, demanding urgent institutional and governmental action. Speakers raised serious concerns regarding safety around the college's back gate and Amar Colony, noting the total absence of streetlights, non-functional pink police booths, and a lack of CCTV cameras. An alumna highlighted the persistent fear of stepping out after dark and the risks of harassment along daily transit routes. Current students voiced frustration over the lack of active policing, claiming that harassment remains rampant near Moolchand and college back lanes. Additionally, students pointed out that the college's Internal Complaints Committee is not functional, urging authorities to ensure active police deployment, working pink booths, and adequate lighting to safeguard women.

In an interview with India Today, former Election Commissioner Ashok Lavasa discussed reports concerning objections raised by two sitting election commissioners regarding decisions taken by the Election Commission of India. Lavasa questioned the procedural legality of actions taken during the Special Intensive Revision exercise, highlighting issues surrounding modifications to Form 6 and the centralisation of the voter database. He noted, "All the details should be placed in the public domain so that things are clear." Lavasa underscored that statutory powers regarding voter addition and deletion belong strictly to Electoral Registration Officers under the law, warning against centralising decisions without proper legal authority. He also pointed to court affidavits regarding electoral roll deletions in West Bengal, noting that a high proportion of appeals decided in favour of deleted electors indicates systemic concerns that require transparent clarification from the poll panel.
