Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 updated with new features, prices start at Rs 3.58 lakh
Royal Enfield has updated the Continental GT 650 with subtle styling and feature upgrades, including new LED indicators and Type-C charging, while retaining its existing engine and café racer character.
Royal Enfield has updated the Continental GT 650 in India with a handful of styling and convenience upgrades. The updated caf racer is now available across the company's dealerships, with prices starting at Rs 3,58,427 (ex-showroom).
The Continental GT 650 gets a black-painted instrument cowl as part of the update, along with new LED trafficators and a USB Type-C fast-charging port. Royal Enfield has also introduced a blacked-out treatment for the engine, exhaust and cast alloy wheels on the Rocker Red variant. The same blacked-out mechanical treatment was already offered on the Apex Grey version.
There are four colour options available with the updated motorcycle. The Rocker Red and British Racing Green variants are priced at Rs 3,58,427, while the Apex Grey costs Rs 3,80,921. The top-spec Mr Clean variant is priced at Rs 3,87,667 (all prices ex-showroom).
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650: Engine and hardware
The motorcycle continues to use the same 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine. It produces 47bhp at 7,150rpm and 52.3Nm of peak torque at 5,250rpm, with power sent to the rear wheel through a six-speed gearbox.
The Continental GT 650 retains its steel tubular double-cradle frame, developed in collaboration with Harris Performance. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and gas-charged twin rear shock absorbers.
The latest updates are largely focused on equipment and styling rather than mechanical changes. The motorcycle continues with the caf racer design and riding position that have been central to the Continental GT 650 since its introduction.
