NEET UG RETEST: NTA uploads scanned images of OMR sheets on official website
NTA has opened the NEET UG 2026 re-exam window for challenges to recorded OMR responses. The process is time-bound and excludes fresh objections to the answer key.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened a window for candidates who appeared in the NEET UG 2026 re-examination to challenge their recorded OMR responses.
The re-exam was conducted on June 21, 2026, from 2 pm to 5.15 pm. Candidates can now check the scanned copy of their OMR answer sheet and the recorded responses by logging in to the official NEET website.
CHALLENGE WINDOW OPEN TILL JULY 15
Candidates can submit challenges to their recorded OMR responses from July 13 to July 15, 2026, till 11 am.
A non-refundable fee of Rs 200 per challenged response has to be paid online through debit card, credit card or net banking.
No challenge will be accepted after the deadline or without payment of the processing fee.
NTA has uploaded the scanned images of OMR answer sheets and recorded responses on the NEET UG portal. Candidates have also been sent a scanned copy of their OMR sheet on their registered email address.
To access the documents, candidates must log in using their credentials. A two-factor authentication (2FA) system with OTP verification has been introduced to enhance security.
NTA clarified that this window is only for challenging the recorded OMR responses.
The answer key challenge process has already been completed, and no further objections regarding the answer key will be accepted.
IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES
Before submitting a challenge, candidates should carefully compare the scanned OMR sheet with the responses displayed on the portal.
NTA has advised candidates to note that:
Only responses correctly darkened using a blue or black ballpoint pen will be treated as valid.
Marking more than one option for a question will be considered invalid and may attract negative marking.
Responses marked on the OMR sheet cannot be changed later.
Overwriting, stray marks or alterations may affect OMR scanning.
Challenges based on manipulated or tampered OMR sheets may lead to action under unfair means rules, including debarment or legal proceedings.
Candidates can visit the official NEET UG website to view their scanned OMR sheets, recorded responses and submit challenges within the prescribed deadline. They are also advised to keep checking the NTA website for the latest updates.
