NEET UG re-test 2026 refund deadline extended, update bank details by July 31
The National Testing Agency has begun refunding NEET UG re-exam objection fees to candidates who submitted bank details and extended the deadline to update account information till July 31.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a notice stating that, as of July 14, only 11,46,401 candidates had submitted their bank account details, and the agency has begun the process of refunding the examination fee to their respective bank accounts. The NTA has also extended the deadline for updating bank account details to July 31, 2026 (11:50 PM).
The notice reads, ‘In order to enable all candidates to get their refund, those candidates who have not yet updated their Bank account details may update their Bank account details by 31 July 2026 (11:50 ..).’

Candidates can follow these steps to submit their bank account details:
Step 1: Visit the official website of NEET.
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads, ‘Final Opportunity to Confirm/Update Bank Account Details for NEET (UG) 2026 Fee Refund (Exam held on 03 May 2026)’
Step 3: A new page will appear on the screen.
Step 4: Enter the asked details and click on submit.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to announce the NEET UG 2026 re-exam results by July 20, sources told India Today, adding that the revised timeline will not affect the medical admission schedule.
The re-examination was conducted on June 21 after the original May 3 NEET UG exam was cancelled following allegations of a paper leak that impacted over 20 lakh candidates.
The provisional answer key was released on June 25, with candidates allowed to raise objections until June 28. A refundable fee of Rs 200 per question was charged for each challenge, which would be returned if the objection was accepted.
