After completing school, Rahul Gandhi enrolled in St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, where he studied History during the 1989–90 academic session.
However, he left the course after about a year and moved to Harvard University in the United States to continue his undergraduate studies.
His stay at Harvard was also cut short due to heightened security concerns following the assassination of his father, former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, in May 1991.
SHIFT TO ROLLINS COLLEGE
Following the increased threat perception to the Gandhi family, Rahul Gandhi transferred to Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where he completed his undergraduate education.
During this period, he reportedly used the surname "Vinci" to maintain a low profile due to security concerns.

After completing his undergraduate studies, Rahul Gandhi joined Trinity College, Cambridge, where he pursued a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Development Studies. He completed the degree in 1995.
