WHO CAN GET RS 2,500 UNDER DELHI LAKSHMI YOJANA?
Under the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, eligible women will receive Rs 2,500 every month through direct benefit transfer.
Women must:
- Be permanent residents of Delhi.
- Be between 21 and 60 years of age.
- Meet the income and other eligibility conditions set by the government.
Only one woman from each household can receive the benefit. If more than one woman in a family is eligible, the eldest woman will be selected.
WHO CANNOT APPLY?
The government has also listed several exclusions.
Women will not be eligible if:
- They or a family member have a criminal record.
- The household owns a four-wheeler.
- They do not meet the government's income and other eligibility conditions.
The final registration process and complete application guidelines are yet to be announced.
WHEN WILL DELHI LAKSHMI YOJANA START?
The Delhi government is planning to launch the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana around Raksha Bandhan, after renaming the earlier Mahila Samriddhi Yojana.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reviewed the implementation of the scheme with senior officials before the eligibility criteria were approved. Registration details and the application portal are expected to be announced separately.
