The trailer of director Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana is set to be unveiled at a large-scale event at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. The launch marks the next stage for the project, which has been mounted as a two-part cinematic adaptation of sage Valmiki's ancient Indian epic.

Director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are confirmed to attend the event, along with several members of the ensemble cast, as reported by Variety India. Actors Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Ravie Dubey, Rakul Preet Singh, and Kunal Kapoor are confirmed to be present for the trailer unveiling on July 18. However, the attendance of other principal cast members, including Yash and Sunny Deol, remains unconfirmed.

The trailer launch follows months of anticipation around the project, which has steadily built momentum through its first-look assets and production updates. Backed by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG, Ramayana is among the biggest Indian productions currently in development, combining large-scale visual effects with an ensemble cast drawn from across the Indian film industry.

The film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Sunny Deol portrays Hanuman, while Ravie Dubey essays Lakshman. Rakul Preet Singh stars as Surpanakha and Kunal Kapoor plays Lord Indra. The wider ensemble also includes Adinath Kothare, Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chadha and Arun Govil.

Tiwari, known for directing films including Dangal (2016) and Chhichhore (2019), is helming the epic adaptation, while Academy Award-winning composer Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman are collaborating on the film’s score.

The New Delhi event is expected to offer audiences their most extensive look at the film yet, with the trailer set to showcase the scale of the adaptation ahead of its theatrical release. With one of the biggest ensembles assembled for an Indian film and an ambitious visual canvas, Ramayana has emerged as one of the country’s most closely watched productions.
