Singer Nick Jonas opened up about the first X (then Twitter) message he sent to his wife, actor Priyanka Chopra. The couple revisited their awkward first DM exchange on the Hey Jonas podcast.
Singer Nick Jonas revealed the first message he sent to his wife, actor Priyanka Chopra, on X (then Twitter) during the July 14 episode of Hey Jonas podcast. Priyanka joined Nick, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas on the podcast, where the couple looked back at how their relationship began.
In Priyanka’s first appearance on the podcast, Joe and Kevin read out the couple’s first conversation on X as Nick and Priyanka listened, reacted and held hands. The exchange happened about a year and a half before they began dating in May 2018. They married in December 2018 and later welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, who is now 4.
Nick said he reached out after Kevin asked him whether he had seen Priyanka’s show Quantico. Nick said he had not seen it, and then immediately spotted Priyanka on a billboard promoting the series.
Joe and Kevin then gave a dramatic reading of the messages. Nick’s first message read, “Hello. I’ve heard from a few people that we should meet. I have to agree with these people. Are you in LA anytime soon?” Priyanka replied, “Hey. Graham’s told me so much about you. Let’s text. More private. My team can access this.”
As the messages were read aloud, Nick and Priyanka appeared embarrassed and laughed through the moment. They sat listening and reacting while holding hands. The podcast also showed them cringing at the exchange as Joe and Kevin acted it out.

Priyanka was also recently seen at Wimbledon during the women’s singles semi-final between Karolina Muchova and Coco Gauff. From the front row on Centre Court, she was seen making a FaceTime call to Nick so he could watch the action from her seat.
She attended the match in a beige outfit with a matching headscarf and minimal accessories. She was also seen greeting Cynthia Erivo before taking her seat.
