On the work front, Vijay's Jana Nayagan, after a prolonged delay, was granted an A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The film's runtime now stands at 3 hours and 3 minutes.

Jana Nayagan was initially expected to release earlier this year on January 9 ahead of Pongal weekend, but its schedule was thrown into uncertainty after legal proceedings involving the censor certificate.
