Dell launches XPS 13, Alienware 15 in India, Dell 14S and Dell 16S tag along: Specs, prices

Dell has just expanded its lineup of laptops in India with multiple launches. The company has brought in a bunch of devices including its premium XPS 13 laptop, as well as the gaming-focused Alienware 15. The XPS 13 was launched in the US in June, and now will make it to our shores.

Apart from XPS and Alienware, the standard Dell line-up has also seen new additions with the Dell 14S and Dell 16S. Dell claims that it is one of the most comprehensive updates to its lineup to date.

From the specs to the price, here is everything you need to know about Dell’s latest laptops.

Dell XPS 13

The centrepiece of the launch is the XPS 13, which Dell described as the thinnest and lightest XPS laptop it has built. The XPS 13 has a thickness of 12.7mm, and weighs about 1kg.

The laptop has an aluminium design and runs on Intel Core Series 3 processors, with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 options set to arrive later, alongside up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory. Dell says that the XPS 13 offers up to 17 hours of streaming battery life.

The laptop features a 2.5K LCD touch display with 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour coverage, and up to 500 nits brightness. The display has a 30Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate. You also get Dolby Atmos-tuned quad speakers.

Depending on the configuration, you can get the XPS 13 with either two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports or two Thunderbolt 4 and USB Type-C ports. The XPS 13 comes in Sky shade, while Storm will arrive later.

The XPS 13 starts in India at Rs 79,990. It is available via Dell’s website, exclusive stores, and Reliance Digital. The company is also offering cashback offers up to Rs 5,000m as well as a free 1-year McAfee security subscription.

Alienware 15

On the gaming side, Dell says that Alienware 15 covers a broad set of users. The laptop is available in multiple configurations, up to Intel Core 7 Series 2 240H processors, all the way to Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 graphics.

The Alienware 15 features a 15.3-inch WUXGA display with a 165Hz refresh rate and 16:10 aspect ratio. Dell states the laptop uses advanced thermal technologies and has been tested for accidental spills of up to 60ml and drops of up to 18 inches. It includes two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, two USB-C ports, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Ethernet, a universal audio jack and a dedicated power port.

Alienware 15 with Intel Core processors starts at Rs 1,28,990. The device will be available via Dell’s website, exclusive stores, and retail partners. You can get up to Rs 10,000 in cashback with bank offers. The company is also offering the Alienware 25 320Hz Gaming Monitor, worth Rs 22,600, for Rs 9,999 with the Alienware 15.

Dell 14S and Dell 16S

Dell is positioning the 14S and 16S as AI-ready laptops built around Copilot. The two laptops use Intel Core Ultra Series 3 or AMD Ryzen AI 400 Series processors and offer up to a 50 TOPS NPU. The Dell 16S with the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H can deliver 55 per cent higher graphics performance than the previous generation.

Both laptops use recycled aluminium and plastics, they ship in recycled packaging. The 14S weighs roughly 1.46kg with two colour options – Celestial Blue and Frost Blue.

On displays, the 14S offers FHD Plus OLED touch and non-touch panels, while the 16S gets a 2.8K OLED touch panel, with up to 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits brightness, 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage and Dolby Vision.

The Dell 14S and 16S include two USB Type-C ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1 and a headset port.

The Dell 14S starts at Rs 1,19,900 in India with the 16S costing you at least Rs 2,29,900. You also get a free 1-year McAfee security subscription. Both laptops will be available via Dell’s website, exclusive stores, and retail partners.
