Reliance Jio launches new JioTV Pro plan: Price, benefits, validity and more
Reliance Jio has launched a new Rs 55 JioTV Pro recharge plan that gives prepaid and postpaid users access to over 1,000 live TV channels for 30 days. The budget-friendly pack unlocks premium HD TV channels but does not include premium live sports channels.

Reliance Jio has introduced a new entertainment-focused recharge plan for users who prefer watching television on their smartphones. The telecom operator has launched the JioTV Pro pack at Rs 55, offering a month of access to live TV content without requiring customers to opt for a more expensive entertainment bundle.
The newly launched add-on is available to both prepaid and postpaid Jio users. With a validity of 30 days, the recharge gives subscribers access to the JioTV app's expanded catalogue of live television channels, which spans more than 1,000 channels in over 16 Indian and international languages.
JioTV Pro plan: What users get
The biggest change with the paid recharge is that it enables access to several premium television channels that are not available with the app's basic experience. Subscribers will be able to watch HD channels from broadcasters including JioStar, Sony Entertainment, Sun TV Network and Warner Bros. Discovery. However, the recharge stops short of offering premium live sports broadcasts from JioStar and Sony, meaning users looking to stream major sporting events will have to rely on other plans or subscriptions.
Jio has also bundled 10MB of data with the recharge. While the data allowance is minimal and isn't meant for everyday internet usage, it can still serve as a backup in case a user's regular data pack has expired.
Customers interested in the new pack can purchase it through the MyJio app. After opening the app, they need to head to the Recharge section, select Entertainment Plans, choose the Rs 55 JioTV Pro recharge and complete the payment. Once activated, users can sign in to the JioTV app using the same Jio mobile number to start streaming supported live TV channels.
Apart from live television, the JioTV app also brings together content from streaming platforms such as Sony LIV, ZEE5 and MX Player, allowing users to access both linear TV and select on-demand entertainment from a single app.
The launch adds another option to Jio's growing portfolio of entertainment services at a time when telecom operators are increasingly bundling digital content with mobile offerings. Rival operators, including Airtel, also provide live television through their own streaming apps, but Jio's latest recharge focuses on keeping the entry price low for users who simply want access to television channels on their phones.
For users who spend a lot of time commuting or travelling, the new recharge could be a convenient way to catch up on news, movies and regional programming without needing a television connection. Although sports fans may find the exclusion of premium sports channels limiting, the Rs 55 pack is positioned as an affordable option for everyday TV viewing rather than a comprehensive entertainment subscription.
