A video of a pregnant woman dancing during her baby shower celebrations has gone viral on social media.

Silvery Shah, a New York-based digital creator, originally celebrated her baby shower with close friends and family in January. Her dance video, however, went viral after it was shared by an X account on August 5.

Dressed in a pink outfit, Silvery proudly flaunted her baby bump as she danced to Madhuri Dixit's iconic song Humko Aaj Kal Hai Intezaar from the 1990 film Sailaab. Taking centre stage, she twirled gracefully and matched the song's choreography while friends and family cheered her on.

While many viewers enjoyed the video, experts generally advise that physical activity, including dancing, during pregnancy should be approached with caution. The safety of dancing depends on factors such as the stage of pregnancy, the individual's overall health and whether the pregnancy is considered low-risk.

Pregnant women are typically advised to consult their healthcare provider before engaging in any exercise routine and to avoid movements that could increase the risk of falls or injury.
