Rajasthan school students flee in panic as 5-foot cobra slithers into classroom
A five-foot cobra entered a classroom at a government school in Rajasthan, triggering panic among students. The snake was rescued and released safely, while teachers and children watched anxiously.

A routine school day turned into a frightening experience for students at a government school in Rajasthan's Pali district after a five-foot-long cobra slithered into a classroom and settled beside the children's desks, triggering panic.
The incident took place at the Government Higher Secondary School in Kotra, where students suddenly spotted the venomous snake inside the classroom. Frightened children screamed and rushed out of the room as teachers moved them to safety.
Wildlife rescuer Surendra Singh was alerted about the incident and rushed to the school to carry out the rescue operation.
During the rescue, the cobra coiled itself tightly around an iron chair used by the students, making it difficult to remove. The rescuer carefully worked to free the snake without harming it or putting anyone at risk.

After several minutes, Surendra Singh successfully caught the cobra, secured it inside a rescue bag and later released it safely into a nearby forest.
The rescue brought relief to both students and teachers, who had been anxiously watching the operation unfold.
Eyewitnesses said the children were visibly shaken after spotting the snake inside their classroom, but no injuries were reported in the incident.
The incident came on the same day another snake-related case was reported in the region. A woman who had been bitten by a snake was taken to Bagdi Hospital by her family, who also brought the snake with them after securing it inside a box so that doctors could identify its species and administer appropriate treatment.
