Honda Cars India has opened pre-launch bookings for the updated Elevate SUV ahead of its India launch on October 6. Bookings can be made at authorised Honda dealerships across the country for an amount of Rs 21,000.

India will be the first market globally to get the updated Honda Elevate. The facelift arrives ahead of the festive season and is expected to bring styling revisions, additional features and a revised cabin while retaining the core mechanical package of the current SUV.

Honda Elevate facelift gets connected LED DRLs

Honda has released a teaser image of the new Elevate, although it reveals only a small portion of the SUV. The most visible change is at the front, where the updated model appears to get connected LED daytime running lights, the Elevate gets a connected lightbar at the rear as well. The Honda logo now sits on the bonnet, as compared to being on the grille in the current Elevate. The overall silhouette and proportions look largely familiar, suggesting that the facelift will be an evolution of the existing design rather than a major visual overhaul.

The front end is also expected to receive other changes, including revisions to the grille and bumpers, while the SUV could get redesigned alloy wheels and tweaked lighting elements.

More features expected inside the Elevate

The cabin is likely to receive a round of feature upgrades as Honda looks to make the Elevate more competitive in the crowded mid-size SUV segment. Changes could include updated upholstery and cabin detailing, along with features that are currently missing from the SUV.

The facelift is expected to borrow some equipment recently introduced on the updated Honda City, including ventilated front seats. A factory-fitted 360-degree camera could also become available, replacing the current model's dealer-level accessory solution.

Other features such as a powered co-driver's seat, rear sunblinds and dual-zone climate control could further improve the Elevate's equipment list, although Honda has not confirmed the complete specification yet.

Honda Elevate facelift likely to retain petrol engine

The mechanical package is expected to remain unchanged. The current Elevate uses a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine producing 120bhp and 145Nm of torque. It is offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-step CVT automatic transmission.

Honda also offers the City with a strong-hybrid powertrain, but the hybrid setup has so far not been available on the Elevate. There is no confirmation yet on whether Honda will introduce the hybrid powertrain with the facelift.

The Honda Elevate was launched in India in 2023 and currently sits in the mid-size SUV segment alongside the Tata Sierra, Renault Duster, Nissan Tekto, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and Maruti Suzuki Victoris. The updated SUV is expected to command a premium over the current model, which is priced from Rs 11.90 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).
