Delhi teen shot outside Amar Colony eatery dies after battling for life for 11 days
The teenager was rushed to Moolchand Hospital after being shot outside an Amar Colony eatery on May 26 and was later shifted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre in critical condition. He remained on ventilator support before succumbing to his injuries.

A 17-year-old boy who was shot in the neck during a firing incident outside an eatery in South East Delhi's Amar Colony on May 26 succumbed to his injuries, police said on Monday. The teenager had been undergoing treatment since the shooting, in which a bullet became lodged in his neck. He was initially taken to Moolchand Hospital and later shifted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre, where he died during treatment.
The Delhi Police Crime Branch, which is investigating the case, has already apprehended a juvenile believed to be the main accused. Two other persons allegedly involved in the incident have also been detained and are being questioned. Police said a total of five boys were involved in the episode. The victim, a resident of Chattarpur Enclave, was the son of a laundry business owner.
According to investigators, the victim was eating with friends at a popular Amar Colony eatery in Lajpat Nagar when a group of boys passed by. During the interaction, one of the boys allegedly brushed against the teenager's chair, triggering an argument. The group subsequently left the spot but returned a few minutes later.
Police said one of the boys then allegedly opened fire at the teenager before fleeing. A single shot was fired and no one else was injured in the incident.
A PCR call regarding the shooting was received at Amar Colony police station at around 7.54 pm on May 26. Local police teams rushed to the scene, but the injured teenager had already been taken to hospital by then.
Crime team officials later examined the spot, while investigators scanned CCTV footage from the restaurant and surrounding areas and carried out technical surveillance to identify those involved and reconstruct the sequence of events.
