Caught on CCTV: Hyderabad airport staff killed after taxi rams her bike from behind
An airport taxi hit a motorcycle on Shamshabad Airport Road, killing airport employee Radhika and seriously injuring her friend. CCTV footage helped police identify the vehicle and take Umakant into custody as the crash is investigated.
An airport employee died and another person was seriously injured after their motorcycle was hit by an airport taxi on Rajiv Gandhi International Airport Road in Shamshabad, Hyderabad, Telangana.
Radhika was travelling to work from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport with her friend when the taxi rammed into their motorcycle. The impact threw both of them off the bike.
FATAL CRASH ON AIRPORT ROAD
Radhika sustained severe injuries in the accident and died. Her friend also suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment after police reached the spot.
The accident was identified with the help of CCTV footage from the area. Based on the footage, police took the accused, identified as Umakant, into custody.
The incident resulted in the death of Radhika and left her friend seriously injured, with police continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
ANOTHER ROAD ACCIDENT REPORTED IN TELANGANA
In another road accident in Telangana, several school students were injured after a speeding private bus collided with a school bus near the New Bus Stand in Siricilla town of Rajanna Sircilla district in Telangana.
The school bus was carrying students when the collision occurred, shattering its windows. Some students were reportedly injured after broken glass pierced them, while the sudden impact left others frightened and shaken.
An ambulance team reached the spot after emergency services were alerted. The injured students were given immediate assistance and shifted to a nearby hospital. Police also reached the scene and moved the private bus to the police station. The exact cause of the collision is yet to be established.
