Telangana businesswoman claims CM's aide called her to guest house for meet

A woman entrepreneur seeking a business opportunity in Telangana's outdoor advertising sector has raised concerns over an interaction with a person she believed was closely associated with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

K Shobha Reddy, proprietor of Mithuna Ads, said she had been pursuing a lawful opportunity in the outdoor advertising sector for nearly three years. She said that while trying to present her case before the government, she approached a person whom she understood to be a close aide of the Chief Minister.

According to Shobha Reddy, the person asked her to come to a guest house to discuss the matter.

The entrepreneur said the interaction left her uncomfortable. She stressed that she did not want to name the individual or make personal allegations on a public platform, but appealed to the Chief Minister to ensure that such matters are handled through official, transparent and dignified channels.

ENTREPRENEUR SEEKS EQUAL OPPORTUNITY

Shobha Reddy said she had recently submitted revenue-sharing proposals seeking a temporary opportunity in the outdoor advertising sector until regular tenders are called.

She also questioned why certain advertisement structures allegedly continue despite notices and unresolved compliance issues, while pilot projects and exemptions or relaxations under G.O.Ms.No.68 have been granted in some cases.

“I am not asking for any special favour, only a lawful opportunity, equal treatment and dignity,” Shobha Reddy said in a post on X.

She has urged the Telangana government to examine her representation and ensure that the outdoor advertising sector follows a transparent and uniform process.
