3 Rajasthan men die after car hits their bike; families claim old enmity behind deaths

Three friends riding a motorcycle were killed after a speeding car hit them from behind in Rajasthan's Alwar district, police said on Sunday. The accident took place on Saturday night, and the impact was so severe that both vehicles crashed into a wall.

Police said the preliminary investigation points to overspeeding as the cause of the crash. However, they are also looking into allegations by the families of the deceased, who have claimed that the three youths were killed over an old enmity.

Police said one of the riders was thrown into a drain after the impact. The victims were identified as Jitendra Singh alias Chhotu, 22, Yuvraj alias Yuvi, 21, and Himanshu, 22.

Station House Officer Sunil Tank said the three were taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared them dead. According to police, the car was registered in the name of Sachin Meena and allegedly had four to five men in it. They left the vehicle at the spot and fled after the accident, police said.

On Sunday morning, family members and locals held a protest outside the hospital, demanding action against those responsible. They refused to take the bodies until action was taken against the accused.

Tank said that while the initial findings suggest it was a road accident caused by overspeeding, police have taken note of the families' complaint and are investigating the case from all angles.
