Maharashtra man, 60, lures 6-year-old with chocolate, takes her home, rapes her

A 60-year-old man has been arrested in Jalna, Maharashtra after he lured a six-year-old girl to his home with the promise of chocolate and sexually assaulted her, sparking outrage among local residents.

The incident reportedly took place in Jalna city. According to the complaint filed by the girl's mother, the child was alone at home when the accused enticed her with chocolate and called her to his house.

The girl later told her mother about the assault. The mother approached the police station that night and lodged a complaint against the accused, identified as 60-year-old Dinesh Suvarnakar.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case against Suvarnakar and arrested him. He is currently in police custody, while further legal proceedings are underway.

OUTRAGE IN JALNA

The incident has triggered anger among citizens in Jalna, with people demanding strict action against the accused.

Former MLA and BJP leader Kailas Gorantyal, accompanied by local residents, reached the police station and demanded that the accused be handed over to the public.

Gorantyal and the citizens staged a sit-in protest at the police station, reiterating their demand and expressing anger over the alleged assault of the six-year-old girl.

The police are investigating the case, and further legal proceedings are underway.
