The once and future sculptor | G. Ravinder Reddy's first solo exhibition

During G. Ravinder Reddy’s childhood years, a career in the field of arts was not only uncommon but often frowned upon. For the farming community in Andhra Pradesh that he came from, academics and a secure job thereafter were the preferred path. So, it seemed unlikely that Reddy would eventually go on to become one of India’s most recognisable contemporary sculptors. Yet, a natural love for the arts always beckoned and a deep dive into studying its various forms resulted in a journey that spans decades, geographies, materials and dimensions.
